Eight Maryland hospitals, including two in Baltimore, earned the highest grade in a new national study on patient safety. The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grades report assigns letter grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals based on factors like the frequency of medical errors and infections, as well as staffing and safety policies.
