Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. and Tribune Media Co. offered a fiery response to criticism over their proposed merger in a new filing with the Federal Communications Commission. The broadcasters in a joint filing accused opponents of making “unfounded assumptions,” not understanding the laws and being ignorant of the modern media landscape.
