Maryland companies raised $247 million in venture capital funding in the second quarter, the sixth consecutive quarter the state has raised at least $100 million. The state had 23 deals, up from 20 in the first quarter and 17 in the prior-year quarter, according to the PwC/CB Insights MoneyTree Report released Thursday.
