McCormick & Co. Inc. overcame challenges from currency exchange rates to record earnings in the fourth quarter. The Sparks-based spice maker reported net income of $157.4 million, or $1.24 per share, for the quarter ending Nov. 30. That’s up 5 percent from $149.2 million, or $1.16 per share, in the year-ago period. Sales rose to $1.23 billion, up 2 percent from the fourth quarter a year ago.
