Mayor Catherine Pugh announced a new apprenticeship program Wednesday aimed at providing mechanical skills training and certification to help local residents gain employment in the energy sector. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship program was developed over about a year’s time based on input by local businesses and organizations.
