'We'll hope it doesn't happen again for another 24 years': Mt. Vernon businesses hit with overnight property damage

Gino Cardinale woke up Friday morning to a broken window at his Mt. Vernon restaurant, one of a string of businesses in the Baltimore neighborhood to suffer property damage overnight. Cardinale, who owns City Cafe at 1001 Cathedral St., said someone threw a large brick through the restaurant’s plate-glass window on Eager Street around 4:30 a.m. He said Spirits of Mt.
