A new “don’t block the box” initiative in Baltimore City will mean drivers who do not clear intersections before a traffic light change will soon be issued a $90 ticket and be given a point on their driver’s license. Beginning May 1, traffic cops in Baltimore will give out warnings to drivers who fail to comply to the new law. After the warning period has ended, the full penalty will go into effect.
