Discount grocer Aldi is on a 300-person hiring blitz for 71 stores in the mid-Atlantic

Close to two dozen Aldi stores in the Baltimore metro area are holding a hiring blitz next week as part of an expansion of the discount grocery chain. The 71-store, multi-state hiring spree comes at a time when Aldi is in the process of adding six new locations in Maryland this year in Frederick, Timonium, Laurel, Hanover, Rockville and Salisbury, said Jeff Baehr, an Aldi vice president at the chain’s Frederick division.
