Baltimore Orioles’ first baseman Chris Davis remains the ballclub’s highest-paid player for the third straight season. Davis’ paycheck will total more than $21.1 million this season, according to Spotrac. In all, the Orioles’ 2018 total payroll will be around $143 million, Spotrac estimates, ranking the team 13th among Major League Baseball’s 30 franchises. The league average is about $137 million.
