Leidos Inc. bumped up to No. 1 on this year’s List of largest defense and federal contractor in Maryland, with $1.56 billion awarded in fiscal year 2017, according to USAspending.gov. The Reston, Virginia-based company became the largest IT services contractor for the federal government, in part due to a merger in 2016 with Lockheed Martin’s government IT division.
