Staples Inc. is considering a spin off its 1,500 retail stores to longtime rival Office Depot. Unnamed sources told the New York Post that the Massachusetts-based retailer is looking to get rid of its brick-and-mortar stores and concentrate solely on selling office supplies to mid-size and big corporate clients online.
