Maryland Port Administration acquiring 103 acres for Seagirt Marine Terminal expansion

The Maryland Port Administration received state approval on Wednesday to purchase the 103-acre Point Breeze Business Center, a move officials say is needed to handle additional cargo coming into the adjoining Seagirt Marine Terminal. Under the deal, the port administration will pay about $56 million to retain 70 acres of the land, said Executive Director James J. White.
