The Maryland Institute College of Art has selected eight finalists to compete for $100,000 in its annual Up/Start Venture Competition. Eight finalist businesses were selected from a total of 30 applicants representing 22 MICA programs. The companies were chosen following an initial presentation round Feb. 3 and the final pitch competition is scheduled for April 13.
