Former U.S. Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, the longest-serving woman in the history of U.S. Congress, will join the faculty of Johns Hopkins University on Jan. 16 as a professor of public policy and presidential adviser. Mikulski, 80, officially retired from the Senate earlier this month. She served five six-year terms, after serving another five terms in the House of Representatives.
