The University of Maryland Medical Center is converting the first floor of an apartment building on downtown’s west side into a new outpatient care center. The 36 S. Paca St. building — owned by UMMC — will house the hospital’s new Coordinated Care Center. The project is scheduled to open in the fall following a $2 million renovation.
