Maryland venture capital funding sees lowest quarter in two years

Venture capitalists invested $72.25 million in Maryland companies in the second quarter, the lowest amount in two years and down 34 percent from the first quarter. The quarter consisted of 15 deals, down four from the first quarter, according to a MoneyTree Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data provided by Thomson Reuters.
