Nyquist couldn’t get the job done in his quest to keep the Triple Crown dream alive Saturday at the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes, but yet another record crowd showed up to see Exaggerator win the second straight muddy affair. For the third year in a row, the second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown saw record attendance with 135,256 people filing into Pimlico Race Course.
