A shorter 1 Light St. tower draws criticism for overpowering historic building

A slightly downsized version of a mixed-use tower planned for 1 Light St. failed to get final approval from the city architecture panel Thursday over concerns that it overshadows an historic adjacent building next door. Designers presented plans for the 28-story building to the Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel with hopes of getting plans for the building approved.
