Howard Bank and the only chief financial officer it has ever had are parting ways. The Baltimore-based bank’s parent company, Howard Bancorp Inc., announced late on Feb. 7 that George C. Coffman’s departure will be effective March 31. Robert L. Carpenter Jr., who has worked for Allfirst Financial Inc. and several community banks, was named interim chief financial officer on Feb. 6.
