Acropolis, a Greektown institution for dining, special events and family celebrations, will close Christmas Eve after more than three decades in business. The restaurant at 4718 Eastern Ave. has been sold, according to a Facebook post signed by the Avgerinos family, its owners. The sale comes three months after the sudden death of founder Dimitrios “Jimmy” Avgerinos in September. “This type of business becomes your life and Acropolis and all of you have been such a huge part of ours,” they wrote.…
