Hord Coplan Macht co-founder Ed Hord is retiring at the end of the year after helping build a local architecture firm into a $78 million juggernaut. Hord helped create the agency in 1977 with partners Lee Coplan and Carol Macht. Since then it has become the largest in Baltimore and has expanded to a total of 325 employees with offices in three other cities: Denver, Alexandria, Virginia and Charlotte, North Carolina.
