More than 8,300 teenagers will get a job through Baltimore City’s popular YouthWorks summer employment program this year. Jason Perkins-Cohen, director of the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, said the city received more than 11,000 applications. That’s down from last year’s high of more than 16,000, but still more than the number of jobs available.
