Maryland to receive $4.5M in federal funds to repair roads damaged by flooding

Roads across Maryland that were damaged by severe weather in 2018 are getting a little help from the federal government in the form of $4.5 million. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen announced the funding for the Maryland State Highway Administration Wednesday. The money will fund repairs and reconstruction in Ellicott City, as well as Baltimore City and Baltimore, Frederick and Washington counties, where heavy rains and flooding damaged roads in May 2018.
