The Baltimore Museum of Art has received a $3.5 million gift from local philanthropists Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown to endow the position of chief curator at the organization. The Browns’ support of the museum has spanned more than two decades, and includes contributions of both art and funds to expand the museum’s collections of works by African American artists.
