Howard County has the most investment activity of any county in Maryland, a new study by New York financial technology company SmartAsset found. The ranking gives Howard County an incoming investment index score of 50.65 out of 100, using a methodology that looks at four factors — business establishment growth, GDP growth, new building permits and federal funding.
