Silver Diner will open its new Columbia location for dinner Wednesday with an upgraded design and a fresh-focused menu. The new restaurant at 8250 Gateway Overlook Drive will sport a new look for the 29-year-old chain as it seeks to reimagine the classic 1950s diner in the year 2018. It will begin serving dinner-only on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m., and will open up its full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and hours starting Oct. 1. The space was formerly Mimi’s Cafe.
