Maryland Technology Development Corp. has doled out the first round of funding to companies and researchers working on stem cell products and medical therapies. The two awards, totaling about $530,000, are the first to be awarded this year from the state’s Stem Cell Research Fund. The fund has a total budget of $8.2 million in the 2019 fiscal year.
