This entrepreneur wants to create a West Baltimore manufacturing hub to help reduce crime

Rasheed Aziz is trying to take a new approach to reducing crime in Baltimore. Aziz, the founder of the nonprofit Citywide Youth Development, plans to turn a dilapidated building in West Baltimore into a $650,000 manufacturing hub similar to City Garage in Port Covington. His goal is to introduce inner city youth to entrepreneurship and manufacturing as a way to eradicate crime and poverty. The 11,000-square-foot center at 2112 W.
