Port of Baltimore sets 38-year high for cargo in 2017

The Port of Baltimore’s public and private marine terminals handled a combined 38.4 million tons of cargo in 2017 — the most since 1979. The total is also the third-highest tonnage in the port’s history and comes on the heels of a new record for the state-owned public marine terminals for general cargo.
