The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor has appointed Mikhail Shamkin as its next general manager. Shamkin comes to Baltimore from Laurel Point Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where he served as general manager. His 30 years in the hospitality industry also include time spent helping to open properties like the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas and grow the Bitter End Yacht Club Resort in the British Virgin Islands.
