Johns Hopkins debuts new D.C. proton therapy center. Here’s a look inside.

Sibley Memorial Hospital has started treating patients with proton therapy, making it the second Washington, D.C., hospital to offer the cancer treatment. The hospital, owned by Johns Hopkins Medicine, opened its new 80,000-square-foot proton beam therapy center, part of the Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, on Oct. 1, and started treating patients Oct. 24.
