Maryland Financial Bank plans to close its doors in 2019 after struggling financially amid consolidation in the local banking industry. The Towson-based bank’s shareholders approved a liquidation and dissolution plan in November. The bank expects to complete the plan in the second or third quarter of 2019, according to a Nov. 28 letter to shareholders. The plan is pending regulatory approval.
