Maryland adds 7,900 jobs in November as unemployment rate ticks down

Maryland added 7,900 jobs in November, led by high gains in the professional and business services industry. The jobs gain pushed the unemployment rate down from 4.1 percent to 4 percent, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Department of Labor. The increase marks the eighth month in 2018 the state has added jobs. Since November 2017, jobs in the state have increased by 36,700.
