Modell’s Sporting Goods will close all nine of its stores across Maryland as the company files for bankruptcy. The New York-based sporting goods retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday and announced it would close all 141 of its stores across the country. Liquidation sales are set to begin Friday.
