Gov. Larry Hogan is moving to postpone both the Maryland primary election and the Preakness Stakes as the novel coronavirus continues to spread across the state. Hogan signed an executive order on Tuesday moving the date of Maryland’s primary election, originally scheduled for April 28, to June 2. Other states have taken similar actions.
