Five Maryland health centers get $1.8M to expand substance abuse treatment

Five Maryland health centers will share nearly $1.8 million in federal grants to put toward expanding prescription opioid and heroin addiction. The money is part of $94 million in federal Affordable Care Act funding that will go to a total of 271 health centers in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
