Attic fire damages Abingdon townhouse, cause remains under investigation

An early morning fire the in the attic of an Abingdon townhouse caused approximately $125,000 in total damage, but the quick action of firefighters from multiple companies was able to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring townhouses, investigators said.
