Bay grasses declined in 2019, with worst losses in the southern Chesapeake

While the Chesapeake Bay saw a 38% decline in underwater grasses in 2019, the damage was largely in the saltier waters south of the Honga River, and the Severn and Magothy both saw an increase in grass, according to the Chesapeake Bay Program.
