Nearly 40% of Maryland high schools rank among the best in the country, according to a new comparison released Tuesday by U.S. News and World Report. The state-by-state comparison placed Maryland among the top states for its public high schools, ranking No. 4 behind Massachusetts (No. 1), California, (No. 2) and Connecticut (No. 3). For the 2020 report, U.S. News ranked 212 schools in Maryland and found 12 rank among the top 500 in the country. Of those 12, five are located in Greater Baltimore.…
