Forbes released its ranking of the most valuable franchises in the NHL and the Washington Capitals were near the top of the pack. According to Forbes, the Capitals rank as the ninth most valuable team out of 31 with a current value of $775 million, up 7% from last year. The Capitals won the Stanley Cup two seasons ago and are leading their division so far this season. The New Jersey Devils, the 15th most valuable franchise, saw the biggest increase over the last year with a 21% increase in value.…
