Ackneil Muldrow II, Civil Rights leader, minority business advocate, dies

Ackneil “Neil” Muldrow II kept an aging copy of a newspaper story on a sit-in at a Greensboro, North Carolina, lunch counter in 1960. He pulled it out one day when we were having what would be the first of many lunches over the years. In the photo, the young Muldrow, then a college student, was protesting the diner’s segregation. It was both a brave and dangerous thing to do. That courage and selflessness never left Muldrow as he became an accomplished banker and tireless advocate for minority…
