A hospice facility in Westminster is seeking state approval for a $1.8 million expansion project, in preparation for the expected growth in need among Carroll County’s aging population. Nexstar Media Group Inc. announced this morning that it has reached an agreement to acquire Tribune Media Co. for $6.4 billion. With the acquisition, Irving, Texas-based Nexstar (Nasdaq: NXST) will gain Tribune’s portfolio of media assets, which includes 42 owned or operated broadcast television stations in major U.S. markets. Giant Food LLC has been on a real estate spending spree for the past year, opening new locations, renovating old ones and, interestingly, taking over shuttering Shoppers Food & Pharmacy locations. More federal jobs are coming to Huntsville, Alabama. The FBI plans to relocate 1,350 employees from Washington, D.C., to Redstone Arsenal, reports AL.com. The move was hinted in February in the General Services Administration’s draft consolidation plan for the FBI’s downtown D.C. headquarters.
