Sojourner-Douglass College debts total more than $25.1 million

The Sojourner-Douglass College in East Baltimore lists more than $25.1 million in debts in its recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing — a first glimpse into the financial troubles of the now defunct school. The college owes money to nearly 60 creditors. They include the City of Baltimore for outstanding water bills totaling $100,650 and real estate taxes totaling $65,839.
