Bidders come up short at auction for former Fort Avenue Pharmacy-turned-luxury home

A 6,000-square-foot landmark dwelling in a hot area of South Baltimore failed to fetch a winning bid during a noontime auction Friday held inside its stately living room. The highest bid of $725,000 for the former Fort Avenue Pharmacy was rejected by owner Perry Homes Inc., who had listed the property that is now a five-bedroom rowhome for $1.1 million.
