Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. has agreed to reduce its proposed rate hikes by 41% as part of a settlement with companies and government agencies that opposed the increases. The proposed settlement would allow BGE to obtain $79 million in electric and gas rate increases, compared to the utility’s original proposal of $133 million.
