Patrons return to Northeast Market a day after rat-related shutdown

Stalls at the city-owned Northeast Market reopened Wednesday morning after it was closed for a day-long effort to rid it of rats. The nearly 24-hour shutdown started at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a patron videotaped a pair of rats in the aisles. It was the second time this week that a city market was ordered closed by the Baltimore Public Markets Corp. for a rodent infestation.
