Developer defends decision to raze two historic houses in Baltimore's Woodberry

A developer who called for two historic former mill houses to be razed in Baltimore’s Woodberry neighborhood said he demolished them because it was too costly to include the properties in a design for a new apartment project. Christopher Mfume, managing partner of CLD Partners, said the 55-unit Woodberry Station project will proceed without the two structures that originally were included in architectural plans for the development.
