The Baltimore Orioles have hired Houston Astros executive Mike Elias as the new head of baseball operations as the franchise looks to rebuild after its worst season in its 65-year history. Elias, 35, has spent 12 seasons in Major League Baseball, most recently as the Astros’ assistant general manager.
