Baltimore education technology company Workbench Education has been acquired by Google. Workbench’s CEO Christopher Sleat — now a product manager at Google — announced the acquisition in a blog post on his company’s website. He noted that Workbench’s project and lesson platform is already integrated with Google Classroom, a free web service offered by the tech giant intended to help improve teacher-student document sharing and communication online.
