Anyone who has been in Baltimore City for even a short time has experienced the looks of shock from outsiders when they mention where they live. It’s become as much a part of city living as Old Bay, downtown traffic and the Inner Harbor. But for those who chose to stay in Baltimore, constantly apologizing for the city’s flaws — real and perceived — has gotten old.
